E-mobility in Slovakia

Although Slovakia is an automotive leader, we are not among the European Union's leaders in e-mobility. However, a shift away from fossil fuels is inevitable and the e-mobility ecosystem has huge growth potential. Although electric vehicles are rapidly gaining ground around the world, we have not yet been able to give them substantial political support or convince the general public of the benefits of electrified transport.

SEVA´s objectives include:

  • spreading awareness of electromobility among the professional and general public
  • providing an overview of entities active in electromobility in Slovakia
  • supporting companies in the transition to electrified transport, and more.

23. 4. 2024 Prices of domestic wallboxes have dropped significantly in recent years. The German automobile club ADAC explains why it is not worth considering charging an electric car from a conventional socket: while the wallbox loses 6-10%, the socket gases 13-24%. At a volume of 2,000 kWh per year, this makes up to twice the difference. Read more at adac.de 🇩🇪
