Slovak Electric Vehicle Association in cooperation with Polish Alternative Fuels Association, Hungarian Electromobility Association and Czech Electric Vehicle Industry Association cooperate on a Visegrad Fund supported project.

We will create online atlas of main emobility companies situated in the area of V4 countries.

The ambition of the EU is that it continues to play leading role in transport in the future and becomes a leader in clean (particularly electric), competitive and connected mobility. EU want to make sure that the best low-emission, connected and automated mobility solutions, equipment and vehicles will be developed, offered and manufactured in Europe. A modern mobility system is also a prerequisite for a successful transition to a low-carbon economy in Europe and for reversing the rise in greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution from transport. Traditional mobility is being transformed through shared mobility services and easier shifts between transport modes. EU clean mobility ambition and transition to electric mobility is needed because the mobility sector plays a vital role in the EU economy and society.

This is particularly significant in V4 countries, where the automotive sector holds a crucial position in national economies. Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland are world leaders in car production per capita and in Slovakia particularly, automotive generates 13% of national GDP. There are Clean Mobility Packages introduced by the EC in 2017, focusing on clean mobility. Among available technologies, electric mobility is on the forefront of technical development with increasing sales of electric cars and fast deployment of charging infrastructure. There are significant differences between EU member states and V4 countries are lagging behind in several aspects (level of e-mobility implementation, generation of ideas, collaborative projects, etc.).
